News from the Rifugio Vita Luminosa

Constant change and light-filled unfolding
About a year ago, Sabine and I received the keys to the house we bought in Montecarotto, where we are building a new location for our practice. Motivated by the belief in something bigger, we have been redesigning this wonderful place ever since. It is our wish that our spiritual teacher Daniel Hertlein will share his teachings with us here and that we can live them.
An intensive phase of reorientation began for us. The conversion planning and the bureaucratic challenges demanded a lot from us. But in the meantime, all the necessary conditions have been created – on a business level, in order to be able to officially run the house, and on a personal level through my final move from Munich to Montecarotto.
The former dining room has been converted into a temporary practice room so that the joint practice can start immediately. This has already allowed events to take place in smaller groups over the past few months. But soon we will be able to open the doors to more people…
After months of intensive planning, it is now materializing: where an old garage once stood, the 64 square metre new practice building is now growing. Day by day, it is becoming more visible, more tangible, more realistic. A solid foundation was laid in May on seven pillars that reach six meters into the ground.
The roof has just been completed, which is supported by six concrete pillars and currently still by many support posts, as here in Italy the roof is built first and then the walls.
The interior work will start in mid-October. We are particularly pleased that there will be underfloor heating and air conditioning in the practice building so that we can practise in pleasant temperatures all year round.
If construction continues at this pace, events will be held in our beautiful new practice building as early as the beginning of next year.
The garden will also be redesigned. The soil from the excavation of the practice building will be used to create new levels and places to linger and a vegetable/herb garden is currently being planned.
At the same time, we are working on a website where you will find among others information about the Rifugio Vita Luminosa, the events taking place there and rooms that can be booked.
We are happy and grateful for the common activity that is already being lived.
