General description of our services

Our offer is aimed at people who are interested in self-discovery and self-realization, and includes various services to support spiritual development. On our website, we provide information about the spiritual teacher Daniel Hertlein and the spiritual practice he has developed. We present events with specific opportunities for participation as well as the locations where they take place (including the spiritual centre Rifugio Vita Luminosa in Italy). In blog posts, we publish news, testimonials and inspiration.

We also link from our website to Daniel Hertlein's external shop, where products in the form of books, eBooks, MP3s and CDs can be purchased. Further information about Daniel Hertlein's external shop can be found on his website at https://www.daniel-hertlein.de/shop/.

Participation in events and stays at Rifugio Vita Luminosa can be requested using the enquiry or contact form, by email or by telephone. Our contact details are provided in the next section.

Measures to improve barrier-free access to our website

We are committed to improving barrier-free access to our website. We have already implemented the following measures and are currently working on the following:

  • Clear specification of the language of our website (German and English)

  • Activation of focus indicators to enable navigation on our website using the tab key (including keyboard operability of interactive elements such as lightboxes and slider shows)

  • Checking the DOM order (loading and reading order of elements on the pages of a website) automatically set by Wix Studio, based on the visual order of the elements, from left to right and from top to bottom

  • Optimisation of the website structure by assigning the appropriate HTML tags to headings and texts

  • Use of individual, meaningful page titles (title tags) and meta descriptions

  • Composition of short, understandable and descriptive alt texts for images, galleries, symbols and buttons

  • Optimisation of the colour contrast between text/symbol and background colour

  • Focus on two fonts for the website (each clear and easy to read) and attention to appropriate line and character spacing

  • Integration of links with descriptive anchor text (link names)

  • Integration of accessible forms (contact form, newsletter registration form, event enquiry form) on our website using Wix Forms

  • Checking the accessibility of our website using Wix's ‘Accessibility Wizard’, including fixing any issues identified (where possible)

PDF documents:

Our PDF documents are not fully accessible. If you require a specific PDF file or information from us that is not yet accessible, please let us know via our contact details. We are still working on providing accessible PDF documents.

 

Videos:

Our website links to videos that are embedded on YouTube and are not accessible. The videos are intended to give interested parties an insight into Daniel Hertlein's work and to provide testimonials from participants. They are not essential for requesting the services we offer. Nevertheless, we will endeavour to provide videos with subtitles and/or audio descriptions in future.

 

Products (shop):

Our website contains links to Daniel Hertlein's external shop at https://www.daniel-hertlein.de/shop/. The products offered there are not accessible, although audiobooks and MP3s are not covered by the BFSG. In future we will make newly published eBooks accessible.

In principle, Daniel Hertlein's website, including the web shop, is exempt from the obligation to provide accessibility in accordance with Section 3 (3) BFSG.

 

Animations:

We use animations (e.g. parallax effects) to a limited extent on various pages of our website in order to visually highlight certain content. Before using our website, you have the option of deactivating the animations from your operating system (in Windows, this setting is called ‘Show animations’; in Mac, it is called ‘Reduce motion’).

 

Horizontal scrolling:

On the subpage ‘Italy’, we use horizontal scrolling to display the rooms (in the desktop version). This barrier can be circumvented by visiting our website with a mobile device or smartphone, as we can display all content below each other in this version (vertical scrolling).
